It’s been fun watching more and more General Hospital characters move into the Quartermain mansion lately. Many of Port Charles’ children had been staying there over the summer as the parents were involved in dramatic storylines that necessitated it. First, Brook Lynn and Chase moved in, then after Sam died, Dante, Rocco, Scout, and Danny moved in, followed by Jason who wanted to be close to his son. With all these characters snuggled up in the giant home, it’s only a matter of time before evil forces encroach upon it and the heroes must rise to the occasion to defend it.

The Ultimate Battle

With villains like Cyrus (Jeff Kober) and Sidwell (Carlo Rota) still roaming free, no one in Port Charles is safe. With some of Port Charles’ best heroes now living in the Quartermaine mansion, villains could perceive them as sitting ducks. Cyrus once had a criminal organization and presumably is still in contact with them (we never did find out who murdered Austin). Sidwell might want revenge on the city and has a small militia to back him up. Other unaccounted-for baddies are lurking about, and any one of them could attack the manor at any time. (Check out where else you’ve seen Rota.)

If a group of villains wanted to lay siege to the mansion, we’d be jumping up and down cheering as police detectives Chase (Josh Swickard) and Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) joined forces with lethal hitman Jason (Steve Burton), and former Navy Seal Drew (Cameron Mathison). While Michael (Chad Duell) and Ned (Wally Kurth) aren’t necessarily good combatants, they’d certainly pick up a weapon to defend their families. And let’s not forget Jason’s mini-me/son, Danny (Asher Antonyzyn). It would be a baptism of fire for him to stand side-by-side with his dad, fending off the villains, or it could even be his job to help ensure the other kids’ safety.

Jason and Drew have been at odds since always. Jason’s doubly pissed at him because he slept with Michael’s wife, Willow (Katelyn MacMullen). Carly (Laura Wright) has told them to behave if they’re living together, but their alliance is tenuous at best. However, if everyone they love were in imminent danger, the two would have to set aside their differences to fight alongside Chase and Dante. And watching Danny learn from the best would be incredibly satisfying as he joins Kristina (Kate Mansi) and Lulu (Alexa Havins) who are also following in their fathers’ footsteps.

Also, Drew and Willow would truly have to come clean with Michael about their true feelings and what it means for everyone’s future. Heck, we can even see Granny Tracy (Jane Elliot) wielding a shotgun in defense of her house (well, Monica’s (Leslie Charleson) house which Alan (Stuart Damon) gave to her). Lois (Rena Sofer), Olivia (Lisa LoCicero), Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton), and Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) — who has Scorpio blood running through her veins —  would also do their best to protect the children and would fight to the death if necessary.

Yipee Ki-Yay, Mother Quartermaine!

And let’s not forget Cody (Josh Kelly), who would most likely be with the horses when everything hits the fan. He’s also a Scorpio and would most likely have an advantage like Bruce Willis’ character John McClane in Die Hard, running around outside and thwarting the bad guys as best he could. We can see him yelling, “Yipee Ki-Yay!” to the villains as he takes them down unexpectedly, checking their names off on his arm with a marker. And there’s also the Q’s manservant Yuri (Cyrus Hobbi)! He and Cody could be quietly communicating with each other as they creep around taking out baddies. He might even be able to call in some of his Russian mobster friends and family for an all out attack against the intruders.

The battle could be reminiscent of the time in 1995 when Luke (Anthony Geary) and Sonny (Maurice Benard) faced off against baddies in Luke and Laura’s (Genie Francis) house, with Laura ending things using a shotgun to dispatch the villains (per Angelfire). Only this should be on an even larger scale.

If GH doesn’t take advantage of having all these heavy hitters living together, then it would truly be a missed opportunity!
