Kristina got an unexpected summons on the July 31, 2024 episode of General Hospital, but she realized she may have more options than everyone thinks.
After Molly (Kristen Vaganos) showed up at Kristina’s (Kate Mansi, who recently announced her engagement) apartment and made amends with her sister, they were interrupted by an unexpected knock on the door. Kristina was handed a subpoena to testify at Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Ava’s (Maura West) custody battle, and when Molly questioned why her father would subpoena her, Kristina revealed it came from Ava.
All baby drama was put aside when Molly read the subpoena and told her sister that she had no choice but to testify. Kristina weighed her options, contemplating lying on the stand, but her lawyer sister advised against it, offering to rehearse answers with her beforehand.
Kristina wondered if there was a chance Ava would back down, but Molly assured her Ava wouldn’t. Once Molly decided her close-to-her-due-date sister needed to take some deep breaths and calm down and left to get her a drink, that was when Kristina realized Ava would back down if she found a reason to make her. It’s unknown what Kristina has on Ava, other than her being behind the homophobic recording of Natalia (Eva LaRue), but the teaser video for August 1, 2024 previewed Sonny assuring his daughter she will not have to testify.
Meanwhile, Ava plotted with John (Adam Harrington), who let her know that Michael (Chad Duell) had witnessed Sonny attempting to take a swing at him. Ava all but evilly rubbed her hands together, realizing she could summon two of Sonny’s children to testify against him.
