The more General Hospital’s Kin Shriner posts on social media, the more the fans clamor for Scotty Baldwin to return to Port Charles. As far as they’re concerned, the joke is over and the show needs to bring the ambulance-chasing goofball back. Shriner’s been keeping himself busy making fun videos with GH alum Marcus Coloma, as well as giving hilarious life updates. His most recent post was a blast from the past for Shriner, prompting fans to renew their call for his return.
The Tragic Love Story
A GH fan on X, formerly Twitter, addressed Shriner and wrote, “Just recently watched the entirety of the Dominique story that I must have missed due to whatever my college schedule was at the time. BEAUTIFUL work, sir. Really love how #GH wrote for you in the early 90s. Even an entire scene with Scotty and Lee and tuna fish was delightful.”
Shriner reposted and commented, “Thanks, that was a tough one and eventually propelled Scotty out of town, he seems to do that a lot!!” In one of the most heartbreaking stories, Scotty fell in love with Dominique Stanton (ex-Shell Danielson), a wealthy but terminally ill woman trapped in a loveless marriage. After securing a divorce, the two married, but Dominique’s illness progressed rapidly, leading her to arrange for Lucy (Lynn Herring) to carry her child via surrogacy with Scotty. Sadly, Dominique died shortly after the birth of their daughter, Serena.

Scotty’s Best Story Ever
Speaking for what many fans were thinking, one follower responded, “That is my favorite Scotty story. 🙌🙌🙌.” Another fan agreed and held out hope, writing, “I agree that was one of my favorite storylines! I truly believe that Scotty will be back on General Hospital!” And as another viewer wrote, the general consensus was, “You are needed and you are a legacy character.”
One viewer who loved the storyline wrote, “That was a tear-jerker for sure!” And another fan went a little further back in Scotty’s history with, “My favorite era is 1981-1983 when Scotty was stirring up trouble for Rick Webber’s Sports Center, stealing Heather from Joe Kelly, fighting with Blackie over Laura Templeton, marrying Susan Moore, and becoming Jason’s stepfather!
