Kin Shriner’s character Scotty Baldwin has been sorely missed on General Hospital. The character seemed to just disappear after informing Jason that Valentin had ordered Sonny’s bipolar meds to be halved. In real life, around the same time, Shriner had foot surgery, which wasn’t the first time for him. But he’s finally recovered and shared that he was back doing his favorite thing: Riding his Vespa moped.

He’s Back

Shriner posted a video on Instagram of him sitting on his Vespa, waving to the camera, and driving off, set to the classic rock tune “Born to Be Wild” by Steppenwolf. The moped itself has its signature retro style color, Pastel blue, as well as a traditional steel monocoque body, and a rounded front leg shield. The headlamp is also vintage, and adding to its charm are the red, white, and green colors of the Italian flag running down it in a stripe.

Shriner eagerly captioned it, “Back in the Vespa business!!” Castmate Rick Hearst (Ric) loved the video, but cautioned his friend, “Be f****n careful dude! You’re cool with or without the Vespa.” The fans loved to see the GH star back in action, as well as admiring his ride, with one replying, “Handsome on your blue Vespa Kin! Happy to see you happy!❤️.”

The Fans Missed Him

Another of Shriner’s followers had words of caution, writing, “We miss you!! Wear a helmet for safety!” As what usually happens in Shriners posts, the fans clamored for his return to the soap, with one outlining a plan: “Let’s all write to [executive producer] Frank Valentini to bring Scottie back! How terrible was the last scene with Scotty?”

A dealership called Vespa Los Angeles appreciated his post as well, writing, “Love it ❤️.” Another viewer complimented Shriner with, “Looking Cool. Kin 🛵🛵😎🥳.” And one fan spoke for many by responding, “We miss you so much 😢😢😢.”
