General Hospital alum Sydney Mikayla moved on from the daytime soap genre. She will star in the new animated series on Adult Swim. Though the project got pushed back a few times, it finally has a premiere date.

The OG Trina Robinson

The ABC soap underwent many cast changes. One of the most surprising was Sydney Mikayla’s original portrayal of Trina Robinson. She was involved in an onscreen romance with Spencer Cassadine, portrayed by Nicholas Alexander Chavez. The couple, dubbed “Sprina,” quickly became fan favorites.

Mikayla’s final episode aired on May 17, 2022. She left the show to pursue her sociology studies at UCLA. Her intense college schedule conflicted with GH’s filming schedule. Ultimately, Mikayla decided to leave the show after seven years.

At the time, Mikayla remarked about her time on the soap. She said that she left on good terms, and her fellow co-stars supported her move. Mikayla also found the time to work on other projects.

New Series on Adult Swim

Until now, there have been few details about Mikayla’s new project, Invincible Fight Girl. The animated show finally has a trailer and premiere date. Mikayla voices the character Andy, who is on a mission to become the best wrestler. However, her parents want her to work as an accountant. She defies them as she pursues her dreams.

Andy’s small size makes it hard for others to take her seriously. The trailer proves that you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover. Andy reveals how powerful she really is. She becomes a powerhouse sensation. She takes on the stage name “Fight Girl” and works her way up the ladder.

Invincible Fight Girl will debut on Saturday, November 2nd, at midnight. It will be part of Adult Swim’s Toonami programming block. The remaining episodes will be available for streaming on Max the following day.

The series has been in development for some time. Similar to GH, Warner Bros. Discovery went through its share of shakeups. Invincible Fight Girl was pushed back during the development stage. Regardless, it was one of the many animated series that Adult Swim teased during the San Diego Comic-Con 2024 panel, reports ComicBook.com.
