General Hospital star Kirsten Storms has been having fun knitting and crocheting and sharing her creations with fans. She and her bestie, former GH star Emme Rylan, would often have knit-alongs online, especially during COVID, where they would teach fans the basics. Now, she’s got a student who is surpassing her expectations.
The Student is Now the Master
Storms helped her friend Chelsey learn how to crochet, and her talent has increased exponentially. Storms raved about it on Instagram: “I taught Chelsey how to crochet a few weeks ago and she’s already made a freaking sweater. 😳 I’ve actually created a monster – and I have no regrets. I heard her telling someone to “get off my yarn!” the other day and I swear I felt emotional. I’m going to post a clearer pic of the @muudliving bags holding all of our glorious yarn. 🧶❤️ #worlddominationonecrocheteratatime.”
Co-star Finola Hughes (Anna) excitedly responded, “You look proud of your prodigy!!!” One follower who’s followed Storms’ tutorials wrote, “How proud are you of her! She’s one of us now! Can’t believe she’s making a sweater. It has taken me many hats, scarves and blankets before I tried a sweater! Go Chelsea🙌❤️.”

Fans Covet the Skills
Another fan who’s interested in obtaining the skill commented: “Is it easy to learn? I’ve always wanted to learn that and knitting. I’d be obsessed haha.” Another person who also wants to learn stated, “I bet it’s super therapeutic!! 🧘🏽♀️.” A fan who appreciated Storms’ videos during the pandemic responded, “Nice. I was apart of your knit along w Emme during Covid it was a delightful relief going on surrounding COVID and all the shutdown chaos.”
Pleas for more tutorials were in many responses, with one inquiring, “Please I love crocheting 🧶 but can’t make anything but a big rectangle. Show me how to make a sweater please!!!” Rylan played Lulu on the show, but the character has recently been recast with Alexa Havins, prompting another fan to lament: “I miss seeing you and Emme together 😢.” Many of her followers wanted more instruction, so hopefully, Storms will create more videos to help them.
