Gregory’s Will Reading Had An Unexpected Twist On General Hospital

It’s only been a day since Gregory’s devastating death on General Hospital, and when the time came to read his will on the May 29, 2024 episode, he had an unexpected final wish.

Finn’s Grief Tour

While Chase’s (Josh Swickard) morning got off to a slow start as his grief settled in, Finn (Michael Easton) confided in Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) about falling off the wagon and his decision to not have another drink. Alexis later got a visit from Diane (Carolyn Hennesy), who let her know that she would be reading Gregory’s (Gregory Harrison) will later that day.

Meanwhile, the next stop on Finn’s grief tour was Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst), apologizing for lashing out at her the day before. She assured him she was only trying to protect Violet (Jophielle Love, who recently released her first single from GH) while Finn promised he wouldn’t have another drink.

Return To The Earth

Diane met with Finn and Chase in Finn’s office and noted Gregory’s precise grammar in his will. She then revealed that Gregory named Chase his executor, to Chase’s surprise. He also named Alexis his literary executor, and left his library of books to his granddaughter and the rest of his estate split evenly between his sons.

But the biggest shock came when Gregory revealed in the will that instead of buriel, he wished to be cremated and have his ashes scattered near his favorite tree – which he noted Violet knows – in order to set his body and spirit free into the air so he could return to the earth.

The thought made Chase spring from his seat while Finn listened to the end of the will, but in the end, the two agreed they would do what their dad wanted.
