Fans were pleasantly surprised to learn that General Hospital’s Josh Kelly and alum Chloe Lanier were dating. Who knew that the two traveled in the same circles, let alone were attracted to each other?
Lanier Surprised Fans At A GH Event
With devilish glee, Chloe Lanier’s evil character Nelle made life a living hell for Carly (Laura Wright) and several other denizens of Port Charles. She was presumed dead from falling off of a cliff in 2020, and two years later, Josh Kelly’s Cody Bell made a literal splash in town when he parachuted onto the Metro Court’s rooftop pool, knocking Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) in as a result.
Cody began as a con man and later became a hero when he saved Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) several times. Although Lanier returned briefly in 2022 to play Nelle’s apparition, the two characters never met, and if they did, she would have chewed him up and spat him out like yesterday’s gum.

Soaps In Depth recently posted on Instagram a photo of Kelly and Lanier together, with the surprising caption, “Fans attending a Men of #GH event last weekend got a bonus Woman of GH when Josh Kelly brought along girlfriend Chloe Lanier!” In the outlet’s article, they described how Lanier entered the event disguised as Kelly, complete with a baseball cap and beard. When she revealed her true identity, he explained that they were indeed seeing each other.
Fans Love This Pairing
Not only did Kelly and Lanier thrill the fans at the event by taking snaps with them, but the Instagram followers went nuts as well. “Holy cannoli!!! Didn’t see this one coming or even know about this. I’m [liking] this duo,” responded one fan, while another hilariously wrote, “[Who’da] thunk it? Hope she treats him better than Nelle woulda.” While there were a few naysayers in the responses that didn’t like the pairing, the majority overwhelmingly did as one replied, “Oh wow!! How cool is this?? I LOVE THIS UNION!!!! ❤️😍”
While we keep holding our breath waiting for Nelle to return to GH, the real-life couple didn’t give details as to how they met, but we’re excited to see two of our faves together.
