Giovanni Mazza Expands On his General Hospital Performance

General Hospital’s Giovanni Mazza has not only won fans over as Gio Palmieri, but he has also amazed them with his extraordinary talent playing the violin. He first appeared during Chase and Brook Lynn’s wedding, where he dazzled viewers with his music. Then Gio made instant friends with Josslyn and Trina. Mazza recently shared an amazing performance on social media that’s a full version of one he played on the show, wowing his followers.

Just Fiddling Around

Mazza’s Instagram page describes him as a “Violinist 🎻, Actor, and NBA Halftime Violinist (since 2015).” In 2018, the then-13-year-old Mazza was interviewed by Inside Edition for his halftime performances, revealing, “I get kind of nervous right before I start, but then once the music starts, I’m fine and I just have fun.” Clearly, he enjoys himself, as his recent Instagram post featured him spectacularly playing the violin (accompanied by a pianist). He captioned it, “Bruch Violin Concerto 1st Movement — if you missed me playing the cadenza on General Hospital, here’s the full version from last night’s studio class! 🙏🙌.” We’re unsure if his reference to a studio class means he’s still taking lessons or teaching them, but his performance left us slack-jawed.

He Struck a Chord With Fans

Mazza’s GH co-star Adam Huss (Nikolas) remarked, “You’re incredible.” The fans were completely blown away by his performance as one hilariously noted, “Just fell on my knees at Walmart. Amazing 🤩.” Another follower asked a question that perhaps many have been thinking since he came on to the GH scene: “Wow! I was very moved listening to your performance. Is there somewhere we can hear more or download? So beautiful!!”
