It looks like Easton Rocket Sweda is about to embark on a new adventure that would excite his more experienced General Hospital co-stars. That’s because the adorable young star will be shooting a major film role in the new Greg Kinnear family comedy.
Easton Rocket Sweda Moves To The Big Screen
The young actor confirmed the huge news on his Instagram account saying, “Finally, it can be revealed! I’m a lead in my first movie!! #thepresent #newmovie #zuriagency #Thankful #autism #actor #GeneralHospital” — alongside the headline from a Deadline article confirming the news.
“Isla Fisher (Wolf Like Me) and Greg Kinnear (Shining Vale) will topline the family comedy The Present, from director Christian Ditter (How to Be Single), which has entered production in Los Angeles…In the film…a brilliant boy discovers he can manipulate time using an enchanted family heirloom, then teaming up with his siblings to go back to the eve of their parents’ separation in hopes of changing the outcome.”

The young superstar has already had to play out something similar in Port Charles, as his character Leo Quartermaine had to briefly endure the separation of Olivia Falconeri Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) and Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth). Luckily, all worked out for the best with those two reuniting. Will the same happen to his character on the big screen?
Joining him in that endeavor as his fellow siblings are Shay Rudolph (The Baby-Sitters Club) and Mason Shea Joyce (Euphoria). What does this mean for the young actor’s time on General Hospital? He doesn’t say in the post but here’s hoping the soap is able to work around his shooting schedule.
