While General Hospital fans have been missing seeing Alexis Davis on their TV screens lately, the actress who portrays her, Nancy Lee Grahn, has been making the most of the show’s production break to work on a special project that’s very near and dear to her heart — a book she’s writing. Now she has an update on how that endeavor is going.
“Hi friends,” she began on her official Facebook page. “It’s been a while. I spent the month of July on a lake in [Wisconsin]. It rebooted and recalibrated me. I’m different now in ways that I can’t quite explain.” But that doesn’t mean she doesn’t try — and it’s with a brutal honesty that her fans have come to know about her — and adore.
“Prior to that, in the last few months, I was hit with some life-altering realizations that truly forced me to re-evaluate my future, my career, my purpose, my value, what I will accept and what I won’t in regards to that and why.” Fans who follow Grahn on Twitter, the social media account where she is the most active, have probably noticed some of what she’s referring to. Her social activism is at the core of who she is, and she never backs down.
“I have paid very close attention to the trajectory of my life,” she continued candidly, “the wins and losses, and my lessons that were many. I am ready to tell the whole truth about my 37 years on Daytime television with gratitude, but with honesty. I’m 120 pages in so far. Stay tuned.” Soap Hub certainly plans to — and will keep you informed as Nancy Lee Grahn continues to do the same.
