General Hospital Maurice Benard
As viewers of General Hospital are aware, both Maurice Benard and his alter-ego Sonny Corinthos are champions of mental health causes. The two-time Daytime Emmy-winner recently chatted with a group of supporters, one of whom especially touched his heart.
“So many young girls have anxiety, depression, bipolar, and don’t talk about it,” Benard shared on Instagram, “they hold it in. I am so proud of @felicia.patti not only for talking about it but figuring out ways to help herself.”
Felicia Patti chatted with Benard during the zoom event and later, sent him a personal message, per his own request. Benard is now sharing her video on his Instagram page. “Hi, Maurice,” Patti began her video by saying. “It’s me, Felicia Patti. I’ve been watching your YouTube channel that — State of Mind — and it’s great.
“I have too much anxiety going on right now and I’m working on that,” Patti added. “I’ve been doing what you [Benard] told me to do.” Patti then introduced a pal in her video — her support dog, who is named (what else?) “Sonny Corinthos.” She says her sweet dog is named after Benard’s character and shared her Instagram handle — @Felicia.Patti.
