Valentin Cassadine hasn’t been seen all that much on General Hospital recently for a very good reason. His portrayer, James Patrick Stuart, has been shooting a new Disney series. Now, the actor is sharing an exciting update about that program.
James Patrick Stewart Stars In The Villains of Valley View
“So this is happening. #VillainsOfValleyView,” Stuart posted. As previously reported, the actor stars as Vic (AKA Krainiac) in the new Disney series The Villains of Valley View, set to debut on The Disney Channel on Friday, June 3. The show’s premise has a family of raucous supervillains moving to Amarillo, Texas after they run afoul of the League of Villains.
Bad Guys Finish First
Along with Stuart, the show stars Isabella Pappas (Finding Oliver) as Amy Madden (AKA Havoc), Reed Horstmann as Jake (AKA Chaos), Malachi Burton as Colby (AKA Flashform), and Lucy Davis as Ava (AKA Surge). The series focuses on Amy, who gets help from an effervescent neighbor Hartley (Kayden Muller-Janssen), as she hides her superpowers and quells her villainous nature while she and her family try to blend in with the rest of the neighborhood.
James Patrick Stuart Loves Playing Valentin
Stuart has been working on this series for a while. Nearly a year ago, he shared on social media that he was filming a pilot, but that it wouldn’t mean he wouldn’t be playing Valentin anymore.
“I am currently working on a Disney Channel comedy pilot,” he confirmed on his Twitter post. “We film 15 minutes from the GH stage so, should the show get picked up for series, and while it would create scheduling headaches for some very cool people, I have no plans to hang up Valentin’s dancing shoes any time soon.”
