It seems like everybody has an opinion after the bombshell news that Steve Burton is back at General Hospital. Some viewers couldn’t be happier while others aren’t as delighted. However, one person doesn’t seem happy that he’s not back in the same situation as his former co-star — Ingo Rademacher.

Ingo Rademacher Accuses GH Cast And Crew

Both Burton (Jason) and Rademacher (Jax) departed the ABC daytime drama amid Disney’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate in 2021. Neither actor wanted to take the shot, so they left. However, Burton parted ways with no hard feelings and love in his heart for the show he called his “family.” Rademacher, on the other hand, left a scorched earth behind after his departure, even going so far as to sue the network.

After Burton appeared on General Hospital: 60 Years of Stars and Storytelling last night (read what he said about his return here), Rademacher took to Instagram to share a video he says he recorded on January 1 but didn’t post until now.

“I think it’s time to set the record straight on a few things about my lawsuit against ABC Disney which is now in appeals,” he wrote alongside a video. “I recorded this on January 1, but hadn’t had time to post it.

“I say this because the news of Steve Burton coming back on the show was announced today and a big congratulations to him,” continued Rademacher. “Also a big thank you to General Hospital for proving me right. I know some of you are going to say well, If you wouldn’t have sued them, maybe you could’ve come back too, but that’s not true because what we found out during discovery is that they were trying to figure out a way to fire me (without getting sued) because they didn’t like my political and social views.

“So now the question you have to ask yourself is, whether you agree with me or not, do you believe in freedom of speech? Please watch the video for a full explanation and to answer a lot of your questions. Special things [sic] to [PERK] thank you for continuously supporting me and fighting for our basic rights. Our medical and religious freedom.”

In the United States, free speech protects individuals from government restrictions on speech. Of course, non-government employees are subject to their private employer’s rules. In California, employers aren’t able to discriminate, but Ingo was let go from GH over failing to comply with the vaccine mandate.

In the video, the actor revealed that discovery for the lawsuit he filed and lost (read more about the outcome here), showed emails and text from actors and others associated with the show that they were planning to get rid of him before his contract was up. He essentially threatened everybody with releasing all the “dirty laundry” if the case goes to trial because those communications would come out in the trial. He specifically called out Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis) for her outspoken political views.

It remains to be seen what will come of Rademacher’s appeal. However, it’s not difficult to imagine GH thinking these lyrics from a popular Taylor Swift song, “We are never ever ever getting back together.”
