Fans got to see Emma Grace Scorpio-Drake when she recently returned to General Hospital for the special episode honoring Ephiphany, and performer Brooklyn Rae Silzer always gives it her all. Now, she’s getting ready to celebrate a major milestone.
That’s because she was born on April 27, 2006, which means that this fan-favorite actress is turning 18 years old today! Silzer was only 5 years old when she debuted on GH.
She’s played Emma on and off since July 2011 (replacing actress Francesca Cistone). For her performance on the ABC soap, Silzer has received the 2013 Young Artist Award as well as a slew of other nominations.
Fans have watched her grow up before their eyes and keep hoping the show will notice how mature she looks and bring her back to join the teen scene in Port Charles. Despite Emma’s parents, Robin (Kimberly McCullough) and Patrick (Jason Thompson, now Billy Abbott on The Young and the Restless), aren’t around, it would be easy enough since her grandmother, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes), lives in town and could certainly use someone on her side these days.
Aside from her work on GH, Silzer has also appeared in episodes of CSI: New York, CSI: Miami, Children’s Hospital, Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders, and Code Black, as well as the made-for-TV movie Christmas in Homestead and the feature film How to Be a Latin Lover.
In 2018, Slizer co-starred with fellow GH stars Constance Towers (Helena Cassadine) and Kristina Wagner (Felicia Scorpio) in The Storyteller, a family-friendly picture.
