It’s been a while since we’ve seen General Hospital’s Brad Cooper. Luckily it isn’t all doom and gloom for performer Parry Shen, who has a very special milestone to enjoy.
That’s because he was born on June 26, 1973, in Queens, New York, which means that this fan favorite is turning 51 years old today! Shen’s earliest acting credits include a cameo role in Starship Troopers and a lead role in Shrieker — both feature films.
His first major work was the Justin Lin-directed picture Better Luck Tomorrow, and he subsequently followed that up with roles in films like The New Guy, Dead Scared, The Perfect Party, and The Deviants.
He also guest-starred in several television shows, including Caroline in the City, Suddenly Susan, Chicago Hope, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, and CBS mega-hit NCIS.
Shen has made a name for himself in the horror film community with multiple roles in the Hatchet film franchise. Though he played Shawn and Justin in Hatchet 1 and Hatchet 2, respectively, Shen became a leading man in the third installment—under the guise of Andrew Yong—and its sequel.
The handsome actor, who has been playing Brad Cooper on General Hospital since February 13, 2013, is also known for his work as a voice-over artist. He has lent speech to characters in Mortal Kombat X, Sleeping Dogs, Work of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria, and Far Cry 3.
Shen has been married to Kim since August 2, 2002. Together, they have two daughters, Avery and Kori.
Soap Hub would like to wish Parry Shen a very happy birthday, and you can, too, by clicking on the X (formerly Twitter) link below.
