General Hospital Alum Lexi Ainsworth Celebrates Her Birthday

Earlier this year, Lexi Ainsworth bid Kristina and General Hospital goodbye, which was a bittersweet moment for her. However, the actress certainly has a reason to celebrate now.

That’s because she was born on October 28, 1992, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, which means that this talented performer turns 31 years old today! Born Alexandra Danielle, Ainsworth began her career at the age of 3 when she began dancing on stage with a local ballet company.

She continued to perform on stage in a number of shows, and at 13, she landed the role of Scout in an Actors Equity production of To Kill a Mockingbird. Ainsworth then attended a film camp held in New York and, deciding she wanted to make a go in show business, she sought out — and gained —  a Los Angeles-based agent.

Ainsworth soon won a spot on a nationally aired commercial for the famous Mattel fashion doll Barbie. More commercial work followed, and in 2006, Ainsworth starred as the lead character in the short film Caroline Crossing.

Ainsworth was cast as Kristina Corinthos Davis on ABC’s General Hospital in May of 2009 and made her debut on June 4 of that year. Her initial tenure concluded on November 4, 2011, and the role was recast. The actress reclaimed the part on September 17, 2015, leaving again in mid-2023.

Outside of her daytime role — which netted her the 2017 Daytime Emmy award for Outstanding Younger Actress, Ainsworth is known for her guest appearances on a multitude of primetime series, including Criminal Minds, iZombie, Teen Wolf, Rizzoli & Isles, Major Crimes (on which she had a recurring part), Shameless, and the TV movie Obsession: Her Final Vengeance.
