Finn has been down spiraling into alcohol ever since his father’s death on General Hospital. On the June 6, 2024 episode, it was made clear he may be on the verge of losing his daughter because of it.
After Gregory’s (ex-Gregory Harrison) memorial in the park, his family had a reception on the Metro Court where Finn (Michael Easton, who just recently joined Instagram) sneaked some shots. Chase (Josh Swickard) caught his brother drinking, but decided to keep quiet about it for the time being.
Although Chase and Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) offered to go home with him, Finn insisted he wanted to be alone while he packed up his father’s belongings. Maxie (Kirsten Storms) took Violet (Jophielle Love, who recently released her first single) to the pool, but it didn’t stop the little girl from worrying about her father.
While home alone distributing Gregory’s things into boxes, Finn attempted to go to a meeting, but found out there wasn’t one. That was when he decided to grab his keys and head to a bar, where he ordered another shot.
When Chase told his wife about catching his brother drinking again, Brook Lynn wondered if Finn had a handle on it, or if he would ever do anything to put Violet in danger.
This comes after Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) always threatened to take Violet after catching Finn drinking when Gregory died. Finn has assured everyone he’s not an alcoholic and he has it under control, but his most recent slip at his father’s reception may be the final straw for Violet’s loved ones.
