After confronting Ava on General Hospital, Kristina fell out a window and lost the baby she was carrying for her sister, Molly, and brother-in-law, TJ. At the baby’s funeral, Molly lit into Kristina, blaming her for causing the death of their unborn child by going to confront Ava in the first place. This riled the fans, who separated into Team Kristina versus Team Molly and TJ. Across the Twitterverse, fans ruffled feathers and argued with each other in dramatic soapy fashion.
Battle Lines Drawn
“You had a choice—to protect my unborn child or your criminal father, and you chose Sonny. In order to protect your father, you sacrificed my baby’s life!” was a line of dialogue by Molly (Kristen Vaganos) that was posted on X, formerly Twitter, by a fan who also wrote, “Molly blames Kristina [Kate Mansi] for visiting Ava’s [Maura West] hotel room in the first place.”
Another fan retweeted that post, adding, “Kristina is still hormonal and has lived a traumatic experience both physically and mentally. This is abuse. Those vultures make me sick. Go to hell Molly and TJ [Tajh Bellow — who gave us insight into TJ’s grief]. Molly is the new Ric. Jealous of the attention Kristina gets and uses the dead baby to lash out. #GH #teamKristina.”
On the other side, a Molly and TJ fan tweeted, “…After volunteering her egg and uterus to help her barren sister have a child, she plotted to steal that baby from her sister, then, about to pop, decided to go confront a woman who she fully knows shot a woman in cold blood. Good Arguments
The fans on Team Molly and TJ argued strongly that Molly’s inability to bear a child, coupled with not only the death of the one Kristina was carrying but also the one from a previous surrogate who miscarried, was traumatic enough. And the fact that Molly found papers that Kristina had drawn up to get her custody of the child illustrated her sister was being deceitful with no intention of giving the happy couple the child they’d been longing for.
Team Kristina’s proponents argued that the baby technically didn’t have to be given up right away. As one fan posted, “The baby was not Molly’s until Kristina signed the papers and handed her daughter over to her. Molly and TJ have acted like entitled whiny brats who gave no thought to Kristina other than being their oven. Molly has always been jealous of Kristina.”
Yet, a member of Team Tolly (the squish name for TJ and Molly), tempered that concept with, “The only reason the papers weren’t signed *before* the procedure is because Molly TRUSTED her sister’s word that she would give Tolly their baby without a fight. Kristina lied and cowardly plotted behind their backs to steal their baby.”
Considering how bland Molly and TJ have been since the start, this storyline — while divisive among fans — is an entertaining breath of fresh air, keeping the viewers engaged.
