General Hospital fans got a huge treat recently when onscreen sweethearts and off-screen co-stars Donnell Turner and Brook Kerr did an online event. They revealed their thoughts on recently working with a couple of beloved Port Charles veteran actors known for keeping others on their toes.

During a General Hospital Fantasy Events Zoom, GH viewers got the chance to hear how much Turner (Curtis Ashford) and Kerr (Portia Robinson) felt about working together and working with some of the show’s fantastic cast. One fan, Jessica, asked about who they would like to work with that maybe they hadn’t.

“I’m going to take this in another direction. I had never worked with Kin Shriner,” started Turner. Shriner, of course, has played Scott Baldwin for decades. “Curtis has never…we never…and recently Brook and I had the privilege of working with Kin,” he laughed, and Kerr joined him in laughing.

“Let’s just say that is a ride unto itself,” he continued. “I used to watch the man when I was a kid, so I’m in love with him already, and then he and I have always gotten along. He’s been great with me. We’ve gotten along, but we have never worked together. So working with him is a wild ride. He is exactly what he looks like. If someone says, ‘what’s it like working with Kin?’ my answer would be, it’s pretty much what you’d expect,” he laughed, with Kerr voicing her agreement.

Both stars also got the chance to work with another fun veteran of the show — Lynn Herring (Lucy Coe) –and someone else asked about that experience. “Lynn’s a whirlwind. She’s fun, super sweet,” responded Turner. “Accessible. You can ask her. She’s super flexible. Actor friendly — what a sweetheart. Another someone I watched since childhood has more energy than I do, and I think she’s just lovely on the inside and out.”

“That was my first time working with her,” began Kerr, “and it’s just like she’s this…tornado… you’re just caught in her energy. She’s so lovely. She’s quite lovely. I’ve only worked with her a couple of times, but I like her a lot.”
