Deception Is More Than Just Makeup On General Hospital

Since Lucy revived Deception on General Hospital a few years back, the company has been on quite a ride with its sneaky employees, sinking stocks, and disastrous Home & Heart segments. But after all that, it’s not only makeup that causes deception in Port Charles.

Deceptive Decisions

Deception has never been one big, happy family, starting with Tracy’s (Jane Elliot) plot to take over the cosmetic company. Things got even more messy when she blackmailed Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) into rejoining the company to steal some privileged information, betraying her friends. The deceit ended in Tracy gaining more than half of the company, plus Lucy’s (Lynn Herring) 1% of ELQ, turning Tracy into a major decision-maker for the company.

But Tracy and Brook Lynn aren’t the only ones who have been accused of deception. Now that Blaze (Jacqueline Grace Lopez) is the new face of Deception and has new eyes on her, she’s reverted back to hiding her relationship with Kristina (Kate Mansi). This was especially prevalent when Nina (Cynthia Watros) assumed Blaze remembered Sonny’s daughter from their wedding, and Blaze simply said she did. In a moment of hurt, Kristina clapped back with, “Face of Deception… yeah, I really see it.”

Cons Against Corinthos

Of everyone in Port Charles, there’s one who has been a major victim of deceit recently: Sonny (Maurice Benard). Starting with the reveal that Valentin’s (James Patrick Stuart) latest plot with Pikeman involved orchestrating for Sonny’s bipolar medication to be switched out most mostly placebos. This change in meds has already caused Sonny to become paranoid of those he shouldn’t, like Jason (Steve Burton) and Carly (Laura Wright).

Meanwhile, in an attempt to get closer to Sonny, when Ava (Maura West) noticed a text on Sonny’s phone informing him Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) had woken up from his coma, she hid his phone and convinced him to spend the evening with her instead of going to see his son. Ava may be about to get caught, however, when Kristina becomes suspicious over her strange behavior.

As if things couldn’t get any worse for Sonny, his former right-hand man Dex (Evan Hofer) not only turned on him by confessing Sonny’s crimes to Anna (Finola Hughes), but is now about to join the PCPD. So by already called Jason working with the FBI the ultimate betrayal, so time will tell what he thinks of Port Charles’s new cop.
