Newcomer to General Hospital, Daniel Goddard, has certainly got fans curious about his character, Professor Dalton. It’s been revealed that he’s doing animal experiments that have something to do with possible weapons of mass destruction. While Josslyn continues her mission to uncover what he’s really up to, Goddard also had a surprising revelation for his fans.
He’s Adding to His Off-Screen Adventures
Goddard wrote on Instagram, “When you are lucky enough to have a wife who knows that you’ve always wanted to learn to fly…and she makes that dream come true. @rachaelgoddarddesigns I love you. ❤️.” Award-winning designer Rachel Marcus is Goddard’s wife of 23 years. The actor also included a video that panned across the plane’s instrument panel to show him piloting it using a side-by-side aircraft center stick, also known as a joystick.
The craft appears to be a Van’s RV series airplane, possibly an RV-7 or RV-9 which recreational pilots love to fly. Among the instruments on his dash was a Dynon SkyView system, which is often used in light sport and experimental aircraft. The fans were suitably blown away as illustrated by one’s response, “WOOOOOW ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️✔✈ SUPER HERO.”

Fans Want Him to Fly Safely
Goddard thanked a fan who commented, “That’s very nice of her. Have a safe flight ✈️,” as well as giving thanks to many of the responses. One follower incredulously reacted, “Wow!! How cool!!” then addressed their comments to Rachel, adding, “@rachaelgoddarddesigns you have a LOT of faith in him! Are you secretly a pilot in case something goes awry?? 🫣🫣🤣🤣🤣 The look on your face, Daniel, is priceless! Time of your life! 🙌🏻 ENJOY!!!”
The GH star replied, “@hockeymom1336 Thanks so much, it really was the time of my life😍.” Fans cautioned him to be careful while flying, with one remarking about a small aircraft unfortunately crashing near them. Goddard kindly responded, “Oh wow, that’s scary. I’m so sorry to hear that happened near you. Thank you for the kind words and concern. I’ll definitely be extra careful.
