General Hospital fans are excited for the upcoming reunion between Jason and Britt. They previously didn’t part ways on good terms because, as their romance was budding, Jason was forced to marry Carly. They did so in order to preserve the then-presumed dead Sonny’s criminal organization and keep everyone safe. But after playing “alive-or-dead tag,” they’re both finally going to cross paths, and Kelly Thiebaud shared some interesting tidbits about their impending reunion.
She’s Plugged In
“I’m just really excited for the journey ahead,” Thiebaud told Soap Opera Digest, adding, “I think it’s going to be a really incredible time on the show with Steve.” Jason’s (Steve Burton) been on a mission to find her, and she explained that their reunion will be complicated. Britt’s going to be happy to see him, but might still be angry that he had to dump her for Carly (Laura Wright).
When the details of her return were solidified, Thiebaud spoke with head writers Elizabeth Korte and Chris Van Etten so she could be brought up to speed on everything since Britt supposedly died at the hands of The Hook. The last Britt knew, Jason had died in Greece, and Thiebaud felt she’d be happy to learn he was not dead. She stated that Korte told her, “‘No, no, she’s seen on social media that he didn’t die.’ I was like, ‘Oh, okay! Britt’s still plugged in on social media [laughs]!’ ”

Thiebaud and Burton Are Both Excited
The actress was glad that time wasn’t wasted on having the two characters dance around the fact that each was alive. Thiebaud and Burton talked to each other before her return, and early on, they saw each other in person. She explained that she hugged him and stated, “This is going to be fun!” She remarked that Burton agreed, noting, “We were both really excited.”
At a Paris airport, Jason spotted Britt from a distance. Knowing where that would eventually lead storywise, Thiebaud stated that she was excited to do that scene, even though it was brief. But finally meeting is going to knock the fans’ socks off, and she praised her scene partner: “He’s just such a great guy, a stand-up guy, and I absolutely just feel honored to get to work with him.” (Check out the callback name that Jason used when looking for Britt.)
