Things haven’t felt quite right for Alexis ever since she was disbarred and landed her new career in journalism on General Hospital. But on the April 11, 2024 episode, GH began their plot to right that wrong as Alexis found out whether or not she may become a lawyer again.
After being disbarred for hiding her previous relationship with her since-deceased therapist, Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) found a new home at The Invader, working as the editor-in-chief. But that career began to fizzle fast the second Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) hired Nina (Cynthia Watros) to help run the paper.
The two have been at odds ever since, but lucky for Alexis, Diane (Carolyn Hennesy) showed up just in time with a plan to get her back where she belongs. Diane offered Alexis an opportunity to appeal her disbarment to get her law career back, and after some consideration, Alexis took her up on it.
In the middle of yet another argument with Nina, Alexis received an important letter in the mail, but was too distracted to open it. It wasn’t until Molly (Kristen Vaganos) noticed it that she realized it was from the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court of the State of New York. Too nervous to open it herself, Alexis let Molly do the honors.
As Molly stared at the open letter in her hand, Alexis could only assume they had denied her appeal and assured her daughter it was okay because it was a long shot. “Mom, they’re giving you a hearing!” Molly finally said, informing her they had even set a date. Molly told her mom this decision felt hopeful as the two shared a celebratory hug.
