After being killed off General Hospital as Nathan West by his dastardly father, Cesar Faison (Anders Hove), in 2018, Ryan Paevey has miraculously resurfaced as the good guy cop. While the residents of Port Charles scramble to find out where he’s been for the last 7 years and what exactly happened to him, here’s a look at the actor who portrays him.
Born in Torrance, California, and raised in Los Angeles, Paevey broke into the business through modeling after being discovered in high school. Modeling led to commercial work, and before long, he began an acting career. He got his big break when he was cast as Nathan on GH in 2013, and after leaving the soap, went on to have a successful career starring in an array of Hallmark movies.

1. He was born Ryan Jacob Paevey-Vlieger to parents Les Vlieger and Linda Paevey. However, he uses a shortened version of his name, Ryan Paevey, professionally.
2. Paevey launched the brand Fortunate Wanderer in 2016, via which he sells custom prints of photographs he’s taken on his travels, outdoor gear, and handmade jewelry. He seeks out unusual stones and crafts them into pendants, rings, and other trinkets for women and men.
3. Just call him Easy Rider. Paevey is a huge motorcycle buff. He loves jumping on his bike, hitting the road, and heading off on a ride. He’s had his share of motorcycles over the years, all of which he’s named, including Lilith, Moxie, and Morrigan. A bike accident left him with a shattered wrist in 2015, but it didn’t deter his passion for riding.
4. Paevey has a few music videos under his belt. He was Robin Thicke’s body double in 2009’s Sex Therapy. He also appeared in Christina Aguilera’s 2012 “Your Body” video. Shot in Los Angeles, it portrays Aguilera as a woman who seduces men and then kills them.
5. After initially exiting GH, Paevey landed a gig at Extra. He began appearing as a guest co-host on the entertainment news show in 2015.
6. He’s starred in an extensive number of original movies for Hallmark. Paevey played the title role in Hallmark Channel’s Unleashing Mr. Darcy (2016) and Marrying Mr. Darcy (2018).
