Hopefully, the third time will be the charm. Kristen Vaganos becomes the latest actress to take over the role of Molly Lansing-Davis on General Hospital.
The character was recast twice before — first by Holiday Mia Kriegel, and then by Brooke Anne Smith — after Haley Pullos had to be replaced following a car accident that left her facing several felonies.
Vaganos, who is making her daytime debut as Molly, first appeared on September 27. And you can follow her on Instagram at kvaganos. Want to learn more about the actress? Here are seven things to know about Kristen Vaganos.
1. Vaganos, who was born on May 7, hails from Philadelphia, PA, and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drama from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts in just three years.
2. She’s a young woman of many talents, having found success as an actor, writer, and producer. In fact, she produced the film Bobcat Moretti, starring Vivica A. Fox (ex-Stephanie, Young and the Restless), Taryn Manning, Matt Peters, and Oscar-nominee Sally Kirkland. Vaganos even shared a scene with Manning and Peters in the production.
3. The actress is perhaps best known for starring in the Lifetime thriller Obsessed With the Babysitter. She played Elaine Davidson, an injured dancer who catches the eye of a deranged psychologist. Realizing he’s manipulating her and using her injury against her, Elaine plots her escape before she becomes a casualty in his psychotic study.
4. Apparently, Vaganos can make you laugh, too. As a comedian, she’s performed on the UCB improv team The Parliament.
5. She is also a performer on a house improvisation team at the renowned Upright Citizens Brigade.
6. Among her other notable acting credits, she recurred in the Amazon Prime series Bulge Bracket; starred in WongFu’s romantic comedy mini-series, Dating After College, and played the title character in the revenge thriller, I Am Lisa.
7. Although Vaganos accomplished a lot in her young career, you’ll likely never guess what she considers her greatest accomplishment. Apparently, she saw Hamilton in its second month on Broadway with its original cast for $50.
