A slightly older and a lot sassier Emma Scorpio-Drake has resurfaced on General Hospital. Braedyn Bruner is portraying the latest version of Anna’s granddaughter/Robin and Patrick’s daughter, a more fiery incarnation of the character last played by Brooklyn Rae Silzer.

Raised in Lucas, Texas, a small town outside of Dallas, Bruner grew up with a penchant for playing soccer, singing in the choir, studying journalism, and performing. She eventually decided to pursue acting. Bruner commuted between Dallas and Los Angeles as she tried to turn her dream into a reality, finally moving to California in 2023. Before long, she began landing a few projects, and her career was off and running.

1. Bruner was born on October 9, which makes her a Libra. She is of Italian, English, and German descent.
2. She has been performing since she was just a child. In fact, she landed her first professional gig, a commercial, when she was 5.
3. In 2009, she made her television debut on Barney & Friends. The episode was titled Bonjour, Barney!: France, and featured Barney taking Emma to the European country to learn how to paint from his friend, Pierre. Bruner portrayed the “French Girl”.
4. Bruner had a connection to General Hospital long before she joined the soap. It turns out her parents were huge fans of the daytime drama during the 1980s and the 1990s, so they were “over the moon” when they learned she was auditioning for the show. “When my mom found out that I was screen-testing with Finola (Huges, Anna Devane, Emma’s grandmother], she was just beside herself,” Bruner told TV Insider.
5. To prep for her GH audition, Bruner went the YouTube route to catch up on all things Emma and the Scorpio-Drake family. She watched old episodes of the soap, featuring scenes between Emma and her parents, Robin and Patrick, as well her scenes with her TV grandmother, Anna.
6. Before landing GH, Bruner was cast in a pair of films. She played the lead role of Millie in Break, a coming-of-age drama. She also appeared in the horror movie, V/H/S/Beyond. which was directed by Justin Long and his brother Christian Long.
7. Where can you find Bruner on her days off? Well, she’s a huge film fan, particularly of the horror genre. In fact, the top line on her Instagram page (@braedynbruner) reads: Most likely at the movies.
