For years, Damian Spinelli was a fixture in Port Charles and on General Hospital (GH) until he decided to move to Portland with daughter, Georgie, and girlfriend, Ellie.
Since 2015, he’s been a recurring character on the soap and some fans even refer to him as “Pop Up Spinelli” — a fitting name because he flies cross country in a flash whenever needed and just kinda pops up and disappears again before we can blink.
Soap Hub asked if you want Spinelli to do more than just pop up every once in a while, and your answer couldn’t be more clear.
Welcome Home
Out of about 3,500 votes, a whopping 93% of you want The Jackal back for good. You have no idea what’s so fabulous in Portland that he can’t have the same type of life in Port Charles.
After all, Spinelli’s (Bradford Anderson) a computer wiz and as long as he has a laptop, he can do his thing anywhere. Plus, Ellie is a nurse and we all know Port Charles has a hospital.
You also know that Maxie (Kirsten Storms) will be back eventually and believe she and Spinelli should share custody of the little girl in the same city. Of course, Stone Cold (Billy Miller) and Fair Sam (Kelly Monaco) also need him in their lives to add a little spice.
Small Doses
A very small 7% of you are fine with Pop-Up Spinelli and think short visits are just fine. You can only take his way of speech in small doses, and when he does show up (or pop up), it’s always a treat.
Portland’s Fine
The final 1% of you think Spinelli needs to stay in Portland for good. We guess you never cared for the character to begin with and are glad he’s kinda-sorta gone.
