It’s been eight years since we’ve last seen Mike Corbin in Port Charles and on General Hospital (GH), but it turns out he’ll be making a comeback next week–but he’ll look a whole lot different.
Ron Hale played the role off and on for 15 years, from 1995 until 2010, but this time an old primetime comedy face will play the gambling addict who left Sonny and his mother all alone when Sonny was just a kid in Bensonhurst.
Max Gail, who played Detective Wojciehowicz, also known as Wojo on the hit comedy series Barney Miller in the late 70s and early 80s, will make his GH debut as the mobster’s father on February 5, according to TV Line.
The last we saw of Mike, he had entered a gambling rehab facility, but after that, he seemed to have fallen off the face of the soap earth. Mike was also father to Courtney, Sonny’s half-sister and Spencer Cassadine’s late mother.
Why Mike returns to town is yet to be seen, but tune in next Monday to find out.
