To keep Peter August from their baby, Louise, on General Hospital, Maxie Jones claimed that the evil naughty nurse nanny Peter hired to steal the baby from Maxie actually stole her from both of them. So no point in looking for her, she’s gone forever, let’s all move on.
Maxie’s General Hospital Lies
Viewers, of course, know that Maxie actually handed little Lou over to Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton), who is passing Maxie and Peter’s (Wes Ramsey) daughter off as her and Valentin Cassadine’s (James Patrick Stuart) new bundle of joy, Bailey. So Maxie knows her baby is safe. Could she at least try fake acting like the distraught mother of a kidnapped tot?
Royal Academy of Drama — GH Style
OK, so Maxie isn’t a professional actress. But she is separated from her baby, right? She knows what that feels like. And she doesn’t know when she might get her back. On top of which, unlike Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) and Finn (Michael Easton), Maxie doesn’t know that Peter is (presumed) dead, so she is still scared of him coming back and taking Lou away. So, yeah, channel all of those feelings into a semblance of a convincing performance.
Speak Now Or Forever Hold Your Peace
If Maxie (Kirsten Storms) keeps acting like she knows something the police looking for Lou don’t, just how much longer do you think they’re going to keep looking for her? They’ll turn their attention to the most common suspect in most child disappearances – the parents.
They can’t find Peter, so Maxie, it is! And if they discover Peter’s dead body, Maxie will have an even harder time claiming she didn’t kill them both. Keep those cops away from your door, Maxie. Play the grieving mother to the hilt, and you can stall the cops – until it’s time to turn Bailey back into Louise. Your freedom may depend on it!
