Mark Consuelos Steps Up At Son Joaquin’s Wrestling Tournament

Former All My Children stars Mark Conseulos and Kelly Ripa are just like other parents who attend their children’s activities including sporting events. Recently, Consuelos felt compelled to defend his son after he felt an opponent had gone too far.

Mark Consuelos Defends Son

TMZ reports that the Riverdale hunk and his talk show host better half were at their son Joaquin’s wrestling tournament on Long Island.

Video taken at the event shows Consuelos getting out of his seat and walking into the wrestling area, appearing to be quite angry over the actions of his son’s opponent.

In the video, Joaquin’s competitor rips off his headgear. Other parents can be heard calling out to Consuelos to get out of the way. An officiator pushes the ex-AMC actor back to the viewing area.

Ripa was also present, but reports say that she refrained from getting involved as Consuelos stepped in. Later, Joaquin and his fellow wrestler shook hands and continued their match. Joaquin’s opponent reportedly won the match.

Consuelos currently plays controlling Hiram Lodge on Riverdale. Ripa is the host of Live With Kelly And Ryan, a daily syndicated talk show. As soap fans know, the couple met on All My Children.

She played heroine Hayley Vaughan. He brought to life Mateo Santos. When Mateo made the scene, Hayley was in a bad relationship with bad boy Alec McIntyre (Grant Aleksander). Mateo helped Hayley see that Alec was bad news. He went to jail, paving the way for Hayley and Mateo to unite.

Alas, Live With Kelly And Ryan has likely pre-taped shows for Christmas week so, it’s not likely viewers will see her comment on this on her talk show until after the New Year.
