On General Hospital, Sonny Corinthos originally made sure that Brad Cooper went to jail for his role in kidnapping Sonny’s grandson, Wiley. But now, fellow mafia honcho Ms. Wu wanted Sonny’s help with getting her nephew out of prison. Sonny declined.
General Hospital Law and Order
But he very generously agreed to not get in the way of the wheels of justice. Sonny (Maurice Benard) isn’t that kind of guy! He will step aside and let a judge decide whether or not Brad (Parry Shen) should be set free, rather than make the decision himself. Did Sonny do the right thing? What GH fans had to say:
Right as Rain
Sonny always does the right thing, 65% of you remind, and he did so in this case, too. Can you imagine what the world would be like if mob bosses were allowed to influence judicial decisions? That would be wrong. Sonny standing back and allowing the system to work the way it was intended just, once again, proves his nobility and upstanding qualities.
General Hospital: For My Boy
Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) should come first, 19% of the audience counters. Sonny can’t let his own standards stand in the way when it comes to protecting his son’s interests. Brad stole from Michael. Brad made Michael sad. It is Sonny’s duty to see that Brad is never allowed to take a breath of free air while Michael’s life isn’t perfect.
Debts Paid
Only 16% believe the best reason for Sonny to do what Ms. Wu says is because he owes her a debt. And, in the mafia world, that trumps nobility – and Michael’s happiness. If he doesn’t do what she asks, Ms. Wu might retaliate against Sonny. And if anything were to happen to Sonny, Michael – not to mention Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and all of Port Charles, really – would be sadder than ever.
