Kirsten Storms Is Back To Work At General Hospital

Kristen Storms is back at General Hospital. The actress took a recent break from her role as Maxie Jones to recover from brain surgery. Now, she’s posted an update on Instagram stories showing that she’s returned to the ABC studios.

Kristen Storms Had Real-Life Surgery

In early June, Storms shared with her followers on Instagram that she was having surgery to remove a cyst that had attached itself to the lower part of her brain. “I feel very fortunate that my situation wasn’t more serious and that I had a wonderful neurosurgeon who immediately knew how to fix it,” Storms shared at the time. The actress also gave kudos to pal Emme Rylan (ex-Lulu) for her support during this challenging time. “I’m not gonna lie, brain surgery had me nervous, but I’m immensely thankful to my family, friends, and incredible ‘work family’ who have been supportive, kind, and loving during a time when I’ve been feeling a lot of emotions.

“Work is a great place to be every day and for the 2 months leading up to my surgery, I found a lot of comfort being around the people I’ve worked beside for so many years,” Storms added. “I’m excited to get back to it after my recovery. (Yes, they shaved a portion of my head, so please no comments if you don’t like my hair. It’s temporary.) Again, thank you to everyone for sending positive vibes my way. It’s not gone unnoticed.”

Since her surgery and during her recovery, Storms has been sharing updates with her followers about her recovery. And, now, she’s posted a photo of her back at GH taken at what appears to be the end of a workday (hence the background sign that reads “GENERAL HOSPITAL THAT’S A WRAP GOODNIGHT”).

Before Storms’s exit (Maxie left town so as not to make folks suspicious that Brook Lynn’s baby Bailey is her daughter Louise), the actress turned in a tour de force that must be paid attention to by Daytime Emmy voters next year when Maxie Jones ripped into Peter August (Wes Ramsey), exposing his many machinations and evil deeds.
