Kirsten Storms: 15 Years As Maxie With General Hospital Pregnancy Surprise?

When General Hospital left us for the last time for now on Thursday, it looked like Maxie was with child again. This time, her baby Daddy is villain Peter August but Maxie does not yet realize how bad her boyfriend is — yet. For actress Kirsten Storms, these scenes aired right in time for a major milestone.

This weekend, Storms celebrated 15 years bringing Mariah Maximillia “Maxie” Jones to life, a role she took over soon after leaving Days of Our Lives, where she played the original grown Belle Black.

During Storms’ time on the show, she has taken Maxie from a manipulative young woman to a mature career woman and single mom to James. She also now has her daughter, Georgie, living back in Port Charles, and a new job working with Lucy (Lynn Herring), Sasha (Sofia Mattsson), and Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) with the relaunch of Deception cosmetics.

In real-life, Storms met her former husband on the set, Brandon Barash (Johnny), and the pair have a 7-year-old little girl, Harper, who played Georgie on GH when she was younger.

But even after 15 years, Maxie is as popular as ever and GH seems to want to come back with a bang later this summer (we hope) by revealing Maxie is pregnant by the man partly responsible for the murder of her husband, Nathan (Ryan Paevey). Maxie loves that man now, but she has no idea what Peter (Wes Ramsey) does behind her back.

GH promised a pregnancy and with Maxie looking at her calendar and feeling sick on Thursday, it looks like she is the lucky (?) mama indeed. This will give Storms something major to play, proving that even 15 years later, she still knows how to put Maxie on the front burner and make her shine.
