Beloved soap opera veteran Judi Evans has had a rough time of it over the last few months. Late last year, her young adult son, Austin passed away and just last week the actress suffered a devastating injury.
Judi Evans Injury Update
Soap Hub reported that Evans took a fall off her horse while out riding last week and ended up in the hospital with multiple injuries, including a broken collarbone, seven broken ribs, two chipped vertebrae, and a collapsed lung. The accident left her hospitalized.
Now, a rep for the actress is reporting via Facebook more bad news for Evans that has nothing to do with the injury”
“Doctors found a blood clot in Judi’s right lung, not associated with her horse-riding accident,” spokesman Howie Simon wrote in a public FB post.
“You can’t help but love the daytime community as her colleagues and fans have shown her and her husband Michael, an unbelievable amount of support [over] the last 6 months. It really is an extended family in that industry. She is hoping to be out of the hospital sometime this weekend. This lady is a trooper”
Evans is a fan-favorite whose original Days of Our Lives character was killed off last fall in the soap’s time jump story and we just learned who was responsible for Adrienne’s accident. However, Evans had been back on the set since then and co-star Wally Kurth reported that the actress would be back. However, we do not know whether she will be playing Adrienne or her lookalike, Bonnie Lockhart.
Evans originated the role of Adrienne in 1986 and has played her on and off since then. In between DAYS stints, she played Paulina Cory on the now-defunct Another World before returning to Los Angeles to create the role of Bonnie.
Soap Hub wishes Evans a very speedy recovery and we hope to see her back on our soap screens soon. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
