In-person fan events have taken on a new meaning in the age of COVID-19. However, supporters of General Hospital stars Steve Burton and Bradford Anderson can experience a virtual get-together with the two popular performers very soon!
‘Meet’ Steve Burton and Bradford Anderson
Burton (Jason Morgan) and Anderson (Damian Spinelli) will appear via Zoom on Sunday, November 15 at 12 noon PT/3 pm ET for an event benefitting the Sandy Rollman Ovarian Cancer Foundation. For information on attending the event, click here.
The foundation’s goal, according to its website, is: “To fight for those who are fighting, speak for those who have fallen silent and provide for those who are working towards the end of ovarian cancer.”
Burton joined GH in 1991 as the son of Alan Quartermaine (Stuart Damon) and the late Susan Moore (Gail Ramsey). He played the role until 2012 and then left the show when Jason was presumed dead after being shot by Cesar Faison (Anders Hove). Burton hopped over to The Young and the Restless where he played the role of Dylan McAvoy, winning a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actor in 2017. He exited YR and then returned to GH, reprising his role as Jason.
Officially, Burton’s been on all three major broadcast networks courtesy of his short pre-GH stint as Harris on Days of Our Lives in 1988.
Anderson first debuted on GH in 2006 in the short-term role as computer whiz Spinelli, who was recruited by Lorenzo Alcazar (Ted King) to help bring down Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Jason. Later, Spinelli switched allegiances and sided with Jason and Sonny, eventually becoming their ally and friend.
Initially known for creating elaborate nicknames for characters on the canvas, Spinelli stopped doing that as he came out of his shell. He and Maxie (Kirsten Storms) fell in love and got married. They later split, and Spinelli fell for Ellie. Spinelli and Ellie recently returned to Port Charles. Spinelli is no fan of Peter August’s (Wes Ramsey), Maxie’s current fiancé.
In addition to his Daytime Emmy-nominated run as Spinelli, Anderson’s credits include Homeland, Castle, NCIS: Los Angeles, Ed, and Veronica Mars. General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check local listings for air times.
