General Hospital fans are loving Valentin’s return to the dark side after losing the love of his life and now his portrayer, James Patrick Stuart, reveals a past connection to a star who fought against the dark side — in the Star Wars franchise.
The actor shared an early picture of Harrison Ford on Instagram and in doing so, he revealed a long-ago story about the now-famous Hollywood A-Lister that will come as a surprise to many of his followers.
“The year I was born, Harrison Ford was still just a carpenter in Hollywood. In fact, my father hired Ford to build the deck on my childhood home in the San Fernando Valley. True story,” he wrote.
While most fans of the rugged action hero star know about his past as a carpenter (he had actually been building a door at the studio where Star Wars creator George Lucas was holding auditions for the film), learning that he actually helped build the deck enjoyed by Stuart’s family is a fun Hollywood tidbit.
There may be an upside for Valentin after finding out he’s not a true Cassadine but rather Helena’s (Constance Towers) bastard. He’s no longer related to supposed half-sibling, Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn), and considering the sparks that these two actors have always exhibited together in scenes, the show is now free to pursue a pairing if they so desire.
What is known is Stuart certainly enjoys working with Daytime Emmy-winner Grahn. He tweeted a snap of the two of them along with the caption, “I just love these scenes. Directed by Bill Ludel, @NancyLeeGrahn shines. I felt I was in a Sidney Lumet film. #GeneralHospital”
