Alexis took responsibility for almost killing Dante on General Hospital, and now she faces jail time. Alexis is not a jail time kind of woman.
She likes her creature comforts, not to mention her freedom to say whatever she wants whenever she wants it. How will she fare in prison? Here is what almost 2,000 fans suspect will happen:
A winning 42% of you look at it this way: Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) falls apart when a man leaves her. She falls apart when she loses a case. She falls apart when one of her daughters raises her voice to her. Alexis will so fall apart in prison, it’s going to take all the king’s horses and all the king’s men to put this Alexis together again.
A smaller 30% of the audience expects Alexis to have a rough time at first, but eventually, she’ll make friends and fit in. Sure, she’s no Madeline (Donna Mills), who has everyone scared of her and was eventually running the place. Alexis doesn’t have that kind of charisma. But maybe she can be somebody’s foot soldier? Or maybe give out free legal advice. As long as she doesn’t tell them she’s been disbarred.
Then again, 28% of you have the complete opposite opinion: Alexis will take charge. Sure, she can’t take charge of her personal life. Or her professional life. Or her kids. Or her drinking. But maybe prison is just what she’s always needed to reach her full potential.
Alexis wasn’t destined to be an upstanding lawyer. She was destined to be a tough lawbreaker. Maybe that explains her penchant for mobsters like Sonny (Maurice Benard). And Ric (Rick Hearst). And Julian (William deVry). She’s a true Cassadine after all. She just needed prison to realize it. General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
