Is Michael Wrong To Keep Wiley From Nina on General Hospital?

From the moment he was born on General Hospital, Wiley was more of a symbol and a pawn than he was a child with needs and feelings – and the possibility of growing up to be a complete psychopath, based on how he was treated during his key, early years. Nobody gave a moment’s thought to ripping him out of the arms of the two dads he felt safe with and plopping him with the biological dad who wanted him because he wanted him.

Just like now, that said biological dad isn’t worried about stopping Wiley from seeing his Grandma Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros). Is Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) making the right call? Here is what the fans think of his latest edict:

Who Cares?

Right or wrong don’t matter here, 62% of you point out. The only thing that matters is that this is Michael’s call to make. And Michael is angry at Nina because she kept the truth about Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) being alive and amnesiac and shlubby from Sonny’s family – most importantly, Michael’s mother, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright). Nina’s feelings don’t matter here. Wiley’s feelings don’t matter here. This is about the Corinthos family. They are so far above the whole right and wrong thing.

General Hospital: Love Me Do

Considering how much Wiley has already lost, 20% of the audience believe it’s cruel of Michael and the rest to keep him away from a person he cares about, who cares about him. Punishing Nina by punishing Wiley is unfair to the little boy Michael claims to care about over all else.

Fair Game

Then again, an almost equal 18% see it the opposite way. The only way Nina will ever learn that you do not hurt the Corinthos family is by being hurt herself. She needs to be punished, and if Wiley is the tool to make that happen, well, kids are resilient.
