All soap operas seem to be under the impression that babies can be passed from parent to parent, from identity to identity, and come out of it no worse for wear. But, these days, General Hospital is a particularly bad offender. There are four little ones on the canvas right now who are destined for a full-blown identity crisis — and a turn towards the dark side.
The Latest General Hospital Victim
Poor baby Bailey has gone by the moniker fake mom Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) made up for her far longer than her “real” name, Louise. Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) may have spent every day weeping over the daughter she hid from evil daddy Peter August (Wes Ramsey), but as far as Bailey is concerned, her mommy’s name is Brook Lynn, her daddy’s name is Chase (Josh Swickard), and who are these Mac Scorpio (John J. York) and Felicia Jones (Kristina Wagner) people who are suddenly fussing all over her? Get BaileyLou back to the parents she knows and loves…before she decides to follow in her biological father’s psycho footsteps.
Lost in Love
Someday, when BaileyLou is dating Wiley Corinthos, they can compare notes. Wiley spent longer than a year with his two dads, Lucas Jones and Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) before he was ripped away from them and thrust into the possessive arms of biological dad Michael Corinthos Quartermaine (Chad Duell) and Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen), who likes to pretend Wiley is the baby she lost.
Then that chatty Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) told Wiley he had another mommy named Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier), and the poor kid doesn’t know if he’s coming or going. Wonder how many extra personalities he’s going to need to develop to deal with all that trauma?

General Hospital: Scrambled Eggs
And then there are Lulu Spencer Falconeri’s (Emme Rylan) lost egg babies. Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) gave birth to Rocco and called him Ben for months before he was handed over to Lulu and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna), and Charlotte Cassadine lived for years with Claudette (Bree Williamson), the woman who gave birth to her, and Charlotte loved.
Claudette tried to pass off Charlotte as Nathan West’s (Ryan Paevey) long-lost child before she was seemingly killed and Charlotte learned her biological parents were Lulu and Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart). Want to know why the child is a budding sociopath? How’s that for a reason!
