On the surface, they seem like a General Hospital odd couple: Scott, lawyer and periodic scoundrel, Liesl, doctor and periodic psycho killer. They both loved Franco (Roger Howarth), that’s one thing they have in common.
And their fluid respect for the law could be another one. But do Scott (Kin Shriner) and Liesl (Kathleen Gati) have what it takes to turn into ‘Sciesel’ for the long haul? Here’s what almost 2,000 fans told us:
The main reason a winning 42% of the audience wants to see these two become a couple is that it will drive Lucy (Lynn Herring) nuts. And Lucy is at her most fun when she’s nuts. The best part is, this time around, Liesl can definitely out-crazy Lucy. It’s not even a contest. When Lucy goes off, she chats with a duck. When Liesl goes off… the cemetery needs to add another wing.
A smaller 32% thinks they’re adorable together. Both are stunted adults who, on the inside, are really insecure, rejected children. We don’t know what kind of a childhood Liesl had, but if we go by her obsession with a man who wanted nothing to do with her, and her own parenting of Britt (Kelly Thiebaud), we can assume it left much to be desired.
As for Scott, he had a wonderful dad in Lee. But he was still a kid when his wife dumped him for her rapist. That’s going to do some damage. They can help each other finally grow up.
They can just be friends, 26% suggest. Bond over Franco, talk about their terrible first loves, go get drinks. But all relationships don’t have to be romantic. They’re both too damaged to do the work true love requires. Friendship is probably about all either can handle at the moment. General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC.
