Return Trip: Should Nina Have More To Do On The Young and the Restless?

The Young and the Restless viewers were excited when Tricia Cast returned as Nina just in time for her son, Chance, to marry Newman/Abbott heiress Abby. She then returned and stayed to support Chance and Abby’s journey to becoming parents.

The Young and the Restless Polling

With Chance gone, Abby (Melissa Ordway) needed her mother-in-law even more. But should Nina have a story of her own? Soap Hub asked viewers what they think and you let us know just that.

Leading Lady

Nina used to drive a lot of YR story, 38% of you remind. She was the bad girl fighting good girl Cricket (Lauralee Bell) for Phillip. Then, after Phillip “died,” she was the rich widow and single mom played by the evil David (Michael Corbett) – which ended with him squashed in the trash compactor.

It was all very satisfying. And all our way of saying that Nina deserves to be back on the front burner. She needs a love interest. Hey, Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) should be done with Sharon (Sharon Case) soon, right?

Book ‘Em

Nina is a screenwriter. Put her to work, 38% of the audience advises. Maybe she and Traci (Beth Maitland) could collaborate. Last year, Traci wrote, had edited, and published a book in the time it takes most people to brew up a cup of coffee.

And Nina pitched Abby on writing a screenplay based on her daughter-in-law. Two minutes later, they were already casting the presumably greenlit thing. At this rate, they could be the media moguls that take down Adam (Mark Grossman)!

Keep Doing What You’re Doing

Only 23% think Nina should just keep doing what she’s doing. Being Abby’s cheerleader is a full-time job. Abby has a lot of nuerosis, and she needs her hand held, 24/7. Where would Nina find time to write anything… or find a man worthy of her. (Who also isn’t a gold-digging killer. She’s got to watch out for those.) The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
