General Hospital’s Valentin is at loose ends. Nina (Cynthia Watros) finally dumped him after finding out that he lied to her about Sasha (Sofia Mattsson). Anna (Finola Hughes) was never interested, and he and Lulu (Emme Rylan) conceived Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez) the old-fashioned way – via stolen frozen embryos and a test tube.
General Hospital Polling
So he’s a little devoid of female companionship these days. And Brook Lynn (Briana Lane) is… right there. They even hooked up in his hotel room during a drunken night. Could they be Port Charles’ next talked-about couple?
My Eyes, My Eyes
OMG, NO was exactly the answer we got from 45% of the audience. Not exactly a majority, but darn close. Brook-Tin is a very, very bad idea. First of all, Valentin with any woman is a bad idea. He is a broken, selfish, incapable of love kind of guy. And Brook Lynn is just a brat who’s equally not ready for a real relationship. (Much less one that comes with a kid. A kid like Charlotte, no less.) They are entertaining enough on their own. But, together, they seem to be a hot mess. But not the fun kind.
On Your Mark, Get Set, Go Valentin and Brook Lynn
We are excited, 35% of General Hospital fans cheer. They are both interesting people, which means their hook-up won’t be the same old hearts and flowers routine every other couple gets involved in. Brook-Tin would be passionate and edgy and, most of all, they would piss off proper Port Charles. And that’s always a good thing.
Shock and Awe
A last-place 20% of the viewers find just the suggestion of Brook Lynn and Valentin shocking, much less an actual onscreen relationship. For one thing, there’s the age difference. For another, there’s the ‘she’s-Ned’s-little-girl-and-we-remember-when-she-was-born’ thing. And then there’s the Valentin destroys anything he touches eventually. Even the Quartermaines don’t deserve that. General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
