Heartbreak is the understood symptom in every patient’s chart on General Hospital (GH).
Take Maxie (Kirsten Storms). She just lost her husband, Nathan (Ryan Paevey). This is after losing her daughter, Georgie, to Georgie’s dad, Spinelli (Bradford Anderson), who moved with the tot to Seattle.
And, this is after losing her sister and her baby’s namesake. And, AFTER having parents with a tendency to abandon her for months – years! – at a time.
Or take Michael (Chad Duell). Women die on him on a regular basis. And now he’s stuck with crazy Nelle (Chloe Lanier), who is carrying his child.
Plus, he lost years of his life due to being in a coma, thanks to being shot due to his adoptive dad, Sonny’s (Maurice Benard), mob connections. And Sonny killed Michael’s biological dad, AJ.
So they’re a bunch of hard-luck kids. And, they seemed to really hit it off during that Lamaze class the other day. Could they have a future taking turns giving each other shoulders to cry on? Here’s how over 4,000 fans feel about that!

For 64% of you, the idea has a serious yuck factor. Not to mention, do you really want to put that much bad luck in a room together? If Maxie and Michael hook up, it will be a case of who gets killed first. And then, what will happen to their little orphan babies?

That’s an intriguing idea, 36% of the audience rubs their chins thoughtfully. They’re not related, which is already something you can’t say about Michael and multiple Port Charles beauties.
And they both might soon be single parents. Maybe Michael and Maxie and Nathan Jr and Little Nelle could form a workable family. As long as they don’t let Grandpa Sonny babysit too often. Or, at least, buy their offspring bullet-proof helmets.
