GH’s William Lipton Thanks Fans For Support After His Surgery

General Hospital star William Lipton will probably be eating a lot of ice cream this week! The popular Daytime Emmy-nominated actor, who has played Cameron Webber since 2018, is recovering from a recent surgery — and showed his gratitude for the incredible fan support he received afterward.

That’s because the talented actor had his tonsils removed and is in the midst of recovery. He took to social media to post a surgery update to fans by way of video.

“Thank you for all of your kind messages I’ve received during my recovery from surgery,” he said during a video on Twitter. “You have no idea how much it means to me. I’m currently on my feet and able to talk a little bit. It was an effort to get to this point but we are here and I have to thank you for all your encouragement and all the love.”

The actor was obviously very touched by the kind words and support from his fans, who are flooding his Twitter feed with good wishes and warm thoughts.

Sydney Mikayla, who plays GH’s Trina Robinson, sent a cute message to one of her on-screen besties. “I’m kinda diggin’ the raspy William,” she wrote, to which Lipton replied with a laugh.

Lipton is also a singer and currently attending the Thornton School of Music at USC. In fact, one of his Daytime Emmy nominations was for Outstanding Original Song for his composition, “North Star.”

But because of his recovery, he might have to lay off his other passion for a while, but things should be returning to normal with his voice in the next couple of weeks and he’ll be making beautiful music again. “There’s a ways to go, but we’re doing well,” he said to finish out his video. “Just a little update—much love. I’ll be back soon!”

In Port Charles, Cameron is about to spend his first weekend away with girlfriend Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy), but with his friends coming along as well, will things go as hoped? Probably not…but stay tuned!
