She may only be on our “General Hospital” screens for a few weeks, but Molly Burnett had quite an experience as Maxie Jones during her days on the GH set.
In the Blink of An Eye
Burnett expressed her gratitude on social media at having the chance to briefly step into the role while Kirsten Storms took a short leave of absence.
In late May, GH announced Storms would vacate the role of Maxie for personal reasons. Days later, the ABC soap cast Burnett in her her place. However, Storms is now back on set and Burnett already bid goodbye to Port Charles.
Writers Handle Another Recast
Just days before the announcement about Storms departure came another shocker. GH announced Tyler Christopher would also temporarily leave the role of Nikolas Cassadine. He also took time off for personal reasons. Nick Stabile took over as The Dark Prince several weeks ago. GH hasn’t announced when Christopher will resume the role that earned him an Emmy in May,
An Elegant Missive
With a behind-the-scenes roller coaster of events going on, it would be understandable if those involved had no time to breathe, let alone post a sweet message to Instagram! However, Burnett did just that.
