The Barcelona International Film Festival honored the work of “General Hospital” star Michael Easton last week.
Easton’s film, “Ultraviolent,” garnered the Special Jury Prize, Narrative Film, according to Soap Central. Easton served as the film’s director.
Each year the Barcelona festival seeks to “honor standout films and screenplays with important recognition for their filmmaking endeavors,” according to its website.
“Ultraviolent” stars Easton’s “One Life to Live” costar, Trevor St. John (Victor).

Shorts Fest,” according to Soap Central.
Easton played Detective John McBain on OLTL until ABC canceled the iconic soap in 2012. The actor then reprised that role on GH. Due to a dispute about legal rights to the character, Easton’s McBain left Port Charles in 2013, and Easton then became Silas Clay. Last summer, Madeline Reeves plunged a knife into Clay’s back, killing him.
Fan outcry demanded Easton’s return and he created the role of quirky and intelligent Dr. Hamilton Finn in March.
St. John took on the daunting task of stepping into the role of Todd Manning after the wildly popular Roger Howarth in 2003. When Howarth resumed playing Todd, St. John stayed on OLTL. The show revealed him to be Victor, Todd’s twin brother.
