GH Spoilers Recap for Jan. 3: Sonny Can’t Move Forward, Can’t Go Back

The GH spoilers recap for Monday, January 3, 2022, features Sonny Corinthos and Carly Roberts Corinthos getting all up in their feelings — separately, Peter August getting offered a deal he really shouldn’t refuse, and Laura Collins getting her life upended.

Liquor and nostalgia rarely mix…a fact that Sonny (Maurice Benard) learned the hard way during his booze-fueled trip down Memory Lane with stops at My Surrogate Brother Stone Died Junction, and I’ve Still Got All Of Mike’s Feels Crossing. Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) proved to be cold comfort as per usual.

Opposite this, Carly (Laura Wright) mourned the true love of her life – that would be the presumed dead Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) – and the current state of her marriage to Sonny. Oh, and she’s not best pleased that Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) returned from Crete and his twin didn’t…but she wasn’t as rude to him as one would expect. She’s growing as a person.

General Hospital: Wheeling and Dealing

Much to the chagrin of Port Charlesites everywhere, Peter August (Wes Ramsey) is up and at ’em, and the only ill effect of his coma is a raspy voice – though, in honesty, who could tell much difference given the way Peter normally low growls his threats?

Anywho, Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) is on edge, and her mother’s dogged determination to join Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) in hunting for Louise isn’t helping matters. Also, Maxie now has to worry about the very real possibility that Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) is going to snatch her and present her to Peter since being reunited with his obsession is the only way Peter will tell Victor how to harness Drew’s conditioning.

Just when it looked like Laura Collins’s (Genie Francis) 2022 was starting off on a high note, in walks Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot)…and she’s got devastating news: Luke Spencer is dead.
