The GH spoilers recap for Friday, January 28, 2022, features Peter August getting a peek at daddy’s little darling, Laura Collins appealing to Martin Grey’s conscience, and Esme Prince continuing to prove what a sick puppy she truly is.

Magnanimity doesn’t become Peter August (Wes Ramsey)…it only makes those around him extra suspicious. Like Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) and Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard). Exactly why was Peter so tickled to see Bailey, they wondered. And was he really twirling his mustache, or were their eyes deceiving them?
Meanwhile, Laura pulled the little sister card and piled on the guilt in order to get Martin (Michael E. Knight) to rethink representing Peter. So, off to the hospital Martin went, and Peter he did drop as a client. Okay, said Peter. He totally understands; no hard feelings.
This is suspicious, Martin should have thought. Instead, he called up Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) and talked her into joining him for an early Mardi Gras.

General Hospital Recap: If You Can’t Trust Family…
Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) rumbled the fact that Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) was on to the whole Louiley scheme, so he did what any level-headed, megalomanic father would do: have his son chloroformed and stuffed into the trunk of his car.
Opposite this, Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) cautioned Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) against putting all his trust in Marshall, when what she should be doing is thanking Marshall for not ratting out the fact that Stella knew he was alive for decades. You’re welcome, Stella!

Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) does not like getting called out for the havoc she’s wreaked. As a result, she decides to wreak more havoc…that will show her detractors! Her latest scheme: record Cameron Webber (William Lipton) and Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) having sex. Her reasoning? We assume just because. But how is she getting that phone back?
