GH Spoilers Recap for Jan. 21: Foes and Ex-Loves Crash Luke’s Party

The GH spoilers for Friday, January 21, 2022, features Luke Spencer’s nearest and dearest and most hated bidding him adieu, rivals fighting a common enemy, and the return of a priceless artifact.

They came to bury Luke (Tony Geary), not to praise him. The truth of the matter is that Luke wasn’t that great of a guy. He was a rapist, a conman, and for a time he thought he ran over and killed his young grandson and wasn’t all that bothered.

And yet, Luke did touch a number of lives, in ways both good and bad. That must be remembered. Among the mourners were his common-law wife Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) AKA Spanky, his ex-wife Laura Collins (Genie Francis), former lovers Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and Felicia Scorpio (Finola Hughes) – both still refusing to make a big deal of their respective dalliances with the deceased – and his sister, Barbra Jean Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman).

General Hospital Recap: The Enemy of My Enemy…

Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) are never going to be friends. Never ever. But they are capable of setting all their animosities aside in order to tag team utter scum like Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy). It was a touching scene in the weirdest way imaginable.

It wouldn’t be a Luke-centric memorial service without a few surprises. First, long-dead Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers) put in an appearance…and no, she wasn’t Skyping in from Hell. It was merely a prerecorded castigation of Luke.

Then, enter the Ice Princess, which Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) was very keen on touching – but Laura wasn’t having that. Finally, in waltzed Jennifer Smith, a would-be Mrs. Lucas Lorenzo Spencer, looking conspicuously like the Rudolph Valentino-obsessed Lady in Black.
